ONsports 19: Getting Phelps-ed Up at the 08 Olympics
- Michael Phelps has already secured three five more gold medals, and is a beast. (http://bit.ly/michael_phelps)
- The underdog USA Mens gymnastic team pulls out a surprising medal, even if it is only a bronze.
- Ryan waxes conspiracy theory on Chinese judges and their motives (in a possible attempt to cover up his technical flub while trying to play the olympic theme… Oh burn!)
MLB
- Getting closer to the fun part of the season, Rays are still holding in the AL East, Twins and ChiSox are fighting it out in the central, and the Angels are going to win the west, barring a natural disaster (crossing my fingers for the promised “California falling off the country” bit)
- As always, nobody cares a bit for the NL West. Nobody. Ever.
NFL
- Preseason started last week, bratwurst makers and breweries began ramping up production accordingly.
- As promised last week, for the third time, the Brett Favre saga finally came to a close with him being traded to the Buccaneers Jets. Dammit.

ONsports 18: A Little Less Wisdom (And a Little More Favre)
- Favre and the Packers have come to an agreement, he just cannot be a part of the Pack anymore
- On the upside for Tampa residents, there’s a good “rumor” he might be coming to the Bucs, ending this nonsense once and for all.
- Preseason football starts this weekend, with the ever-boring Hall of Fame game kicking us off a few days ago.
MLB
- Recap of the current standings around the league
- NL Central gap is widening with the Brewers doing their obligatory mid-season implosion
- AL East still up for grabs as the three-team race heats up (at least the Rays are still ahead)
- Major trades to hit the trade deadline:
- Manny to the Dodgers
- Jason Bay to the Red Sox (boo)
- Griffey, Jr to the White Sox
- Pudge Rodriguez and Kyle Farnsworth play musical chairs, end up trading places.
